Congratulations to UIC Orthodontic Alumni Dr. Rutger Stache for receiving the Dr. Rutger Stache Received the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) "Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit" for the paper titled “Oral appliance and pharmacological agents in the treatment of sleep apnea: a pilot clinical study”.
Dr. Paul V. Caputo Sr., ’83, is a grateful alumnus of the College. Not only did Illinois provide a state dental school in the UIC College of Dentistry, but it also provided Dr. Caputo with a scholarship to attend the College.
Children often have a fear of the unknown and visiting the dentist is no different for many of them. To address those fears and concerns, David Markiewicz, DMD ’19, published his first children’s book entitled, “Dentists are Monsters” in early January.
Dr. Christina Nicholas, assistant professor at the UIC Department of Orthodontics, has been granted an honorary appointment as a research associate at the Field Museum's social sciences section. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement!
