The UIC COD hosted their third Annual MicroRNA Symposium. The symposium brought together eminent noncoding RNA researchers, including miRNA co-discoverer and Lasker Awardee Dr. Victor Ambros, to share exciting developments and advances in the field.
Following the Indian Culture presentation, Dr. Phimon Atsawasuwan and Dr. Kynit Chwa hosted the event and did an incredible presentation about the history, geography, architecture, languages, traditions, holidays and food of Thailand and Myanmar.
At the College of Dentistry, the term “Code Blue” has served as an effective and essential measure used to provide care. We interviewed Hasan Siddiqui (DMD-AS 4) who assisted in a recent Code Blue event at the College.
The Department of Orthodontics hosted “Unity in Diversity”. 2,500 years of history of India was unpacked during the event with some interesting snippets and anecdotes of major inflexion points that lead to present day India.
