The UIC Department of Orthodontics warmly welcomes you to the Fourth Annual Graber Symposium. The Annual Graber Symposium honors the legacy of Dr. Thomas M. Graber by inviting clinician-scientists from across the world to highlight new and relevant research as well as biomedical approaches to advance the orthodontic profession. This year we have brought together outstanding orthodontic educators and clinician scientists to share exciting developments and advances in the orthodontics field. Nikhilesh Vaid, BDS, MDS, PhD
World Federation of Orthodontists

Professor Nikhilesh Vaid is the president of the World Federation of Orthodontists and editor in chief of seminars in orthodontics. He is currently an adjunct professor at Saveetha Dental College in Chennai, India and former professor and vice-dean of the European University College in Dubai, UAE. He has private practices in both Dubai and Mumbai, India. He is an active member of the Edward H. Angle Society-North Atlantic component. He has widely published and edited journals including the “Seminars in Orthodontics” on five occasions and was the editor in chief of “ APOS Trends in Orthodontics” from 2010-20. He’s published more than 200 peer reviewed papers and text book chapters and has lectured in more than 50 countries around the world. The important forums at which he has lectured include the AAO Annual Sessions (on 10 occasions), the International Orthodontic Congresses (on 3 occasions) and many more specialty national and regional congresses. Dr. Vaid’s current areas of interest are evidence-based protocols, technology, aligners and Rx effects and management protocols. His mission is to encourage global collaboration in the profession through leadership, advocacy and voluntary service towards professional societies.
