About
Dr. Marwa Shembesh, BDS, MS, DScD, FACP, is board-certified in Prosthodontics and fellow of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Shembesh holds a dental degree from University of Benghazi, Libya. Dr. Shembesh received her Certificate of Advanced Education in Esthetic and Operative dentistry AEEOD), and Master of Science at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shembesh completed her degree in Doctor in Dental Science (DScD) in Operative Dentistry and Biomaterials and further specialized in the specialty of Prosthodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation Dr. Shembesh was awarded David J. Baraban Award in Prosthodontics. She actively participated in professional meeting and scholastic activities. Dr. Shembesh holds membership in professional societies like American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), American Dental Association (ADA), and American Association of Dental research (AADR) and International Association of Dental research (IADR). In 2021 she joined the University of Missouri- Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Restorative Clinical Science. Dr. Shembesh is unique for her excellent work ethic and positive demeanor. Dr. Shembesh has very strong and solid skills clinically, didactically and in the digital dentistry sector of the Esthetic and Prosthodontic specialties. In February of 2024 Dr. Shembesh is joining the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor where she continues to inspire and educate future dental professionals.
