About
Dr. Ronald S. Jacobson officially joined his father, Dr. Bailey, in the practice in 1989, though he spent plenty of time there while he was going to school. As a little boy, he used to sit and watch his Dad prepare lectures on orthodontics and cleft lip and palate, and he made his mind up early to follow in his father’s footsteps. Dr. Jacobson spent his undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He attended Northwestern University Dental School (Doctor of Dental Surgery) where he finished with a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He taught in Northwestern’s Graduate Orthodontic Department for 11 years as an associate professor until 2000.
He thoroughly enjoys his 22-year participation as the orthodontic member of the Craniofacial Team at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago (now Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago) and continues to teach the residents in the orthodontic/craniofacial component of the Pediatric Dental Program. He also teaches as a visiting associate professor in the Graduate Orthodontic Department at University of Detroit Mercy Dental School and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
