About
Dr. Robert A. Levine maintains a private practice in Philadelphia, PA focusing on surgical implant placement, cosmetic oral plastic surgical, reconstructive and regenerative procedures. He graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and received his specialty certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Levine is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow of the College of Physicians in Philadelphia, a Fellow and President-Elect (2021) of the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology of Basel Switzerland and was one of 100 representatives from around the world invited to participate in the ITI 4th Consensus Conference (Bern, Switzerland, 2013), the ITI 5th Consensus Conference (Stuttgart, Germany, 2008) and the 6th 2018 ITI Conference in Amsterdam to establish treatment protocols for implant dentistry worldwide. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally, serves on the editorial boards of numerous international scientific dental journals and has authored close to 80 articles and five book chapters on periodontics, periodontal and regenerative surgical procedures, oral plastic surgery, dental implants and LANAP® periodontal therapy. Dr. Levine also shares his knowledge and 30 years’ experience with periodontal, prosthodontic and general practice residencies throughout the country as a visiting professor and mentor.

Dr. Levine continues to document and perform clinical research in private practice on many various implant surgical and periodontal plastic and regenerative procedures which include: Esthetic Zone Immediate Implant Placement, the treatment of peri-implant disease and protocols to avoid implant complications, bone reconstruction procedures including the use of titanium mesh for implant site development, Implant Loading Protocols and implant surfaces, Palate-Free options including collagen-based products in the treatment of mucogingival defects, LANAP® Surgical Protocol, and Patient Reported Outcomes (PROMS) in implant dentistry.
