Ben attended Loyola University Chicago for his undergraduate education where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He was one of six students accepted into the International Ricci Scholarship Program and traveled to Beijing and Rome for one year to study Dental Public Health. He attended dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and completed a research rotation in oral surgery with Dr. Sven Otto at Ludwig Maximilians Universitat in Munich, Germany. Ben was happy to return to Chicago for residency at UIC, where he has continued his research interests with publications in the Journal of the American Dental Association, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Craniotomy-Maxillofacial Surgery, Scientific Reports and a book chapter with Springer.
