Clinical activities & specialties
Dr. Mugayar has extensive clinical experience in dental care for patients with special health care needs including children and adolescents from around the globe, particularly with autism spectrum disorders. Her research interests include oral health promotion and prevention, early childhood caries and infant oral health.
She has spent most of his career in academic pediatric dentistry and dentistry for children with special needs. She has published several articles and book chapters and is the author of a textbook for Patients with Special Health Care Needs. She is also a co-author for a textbook of Intrauterine Dentistry and Optimal Prevention.
