About
Melissa started her career in the dental field spending eight years working as a
dental assistant and office manager while she went on to earn her BS in marketing and
her RDH license. She has worked as a hygienist for 17 years and hygiene instructor for
4 ½ years. She has taught a Dental Hygiene course for the Pre-College Health Science
Scholars Summer Program. The special assignment program furthered the work of the
PBI grant and presented an amazing opportunity to touch the lives of the students in the
community.
In private practice she also works weekly with special needs clinics in which she
provides dental services to adults with developmental disabilities that are living in CILA
homes in the city and surrounding suburbs. She has a very outgoing and positive
personality that connects well with her students and patients. With her 25 years of
hands-on clinical dental experience, she is looking to further her education in the future.
