About

Dr. Sanchez obtained his first Orthodontic Certificate as a specialist in 1995 from the Association of Dental Surgeons of Sao Paulo and master degree in oral sciences focused in orthodontics in 2003 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry Sao Leopoldo Mandic, Campinas SP - Brazil. Dr. Sanchez has been teaching the Bioprogressive philosophy since 2004, starting the first multi- disciplinary Ortho Program at the Dental Surgeon’s Association in the city of Campinas – SP in the year of 2000, where he also had his privet practice from 1990 till July 2017.

In 2005 he had joined as full time faculty into the Specialization Ortho Program on Bioprogressive at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Sao Leopoldo Mandic, teaching and conducting researches based on sectional mechanics associated with different growth patterns. He was also involved as adjunct lecturer at the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 2010 where he contribute to the development of the Bioprogressive Foundation and established the Bioprogressive CE course at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) – USA.

Dr. Sanchez was assigned as a full time visiting assistant professor at UIC on August 2017 and promoted to Assistant professor and biomechanics’ discipline coordinator of the Advanced Specialty Orthodontic Program at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on 2019.

Dr. Sanchez is an active researcher on the growth and development of the craniofacial complex and since 2018 he has been collaborating with a multidisciplinary project on the development of diagnoses and treatment plan optimized sequences using an AI Machine Learning technology. He is also an active member of the Brazilian Orthodontic Society (ABOR) and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
