Dr. Farah Shakir is from Wilmette, Illinois and received her BS Biology from University of Illinois. Farah pursued a Master’s in Biotechnology from Rush University. Farah received her DMD from University of Illinois, where she was active on many committees and served as the president of the American Student Dental Association. Farah was also the recipient of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, where she spent a year working with the Syrian and Iraqi refugees. Farah is passionate about community service and enjoys giving back to the community. Farah is fluent in Spanish and Arabic. On her free time, Farah enjoys traveling, skiing, and visiting family abroad.
