About
Dr. Lana Dalbah is dual specialized in Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain. She grew up between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. She received her bachelor’s degree of dental surgery from the University of Jordan in 2002. Then she moved to California and worked as a research associate in the Craniofacial Genetic Lab at the University of the Pacific, where she was involved in the genetic research of cleft lip and palate. She earned her certificate and master’s degree of orthodontics from the University of the Pacific in 2007 and earned her certificate and master’s degree of Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California in 2020. She is Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain. She is a reviewer at CRANIO - The Journal of Craniomandibular & Sleep Practice.
Dr. Lana served as the chair and director of the postgraduate orthodontic department at Boston University - Dubai from 2009-2012. She also served as assistant professor of orthodontics at the European University College in Dubai from 2012-2022 where she was involved in didactic, clinical, and research activities of postgraduate orthodontic and pediatric residents. She has maintained a private practice treating all types of orthodontic cases with special emphasis on orthognathic surgery, TMJ, and multidisciplinary cases.
Dr. Lana is also a life coach and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) practitioner & assessor. She really enjoys providing coaching and wellbeing support for her coworkers and residents. She also gives EQ courses for healthcare providers.
Dr. Lana is a passionate teacher and co-founder of iDental Academy which is an online platform for dental courses, and spreads education to the public through her YouTube channel.
