About
Dr. Wendy L. Cerny is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics. Dr. Cerny earned her PhD from Northwestern University in Cancer Cell Biology and joined the College of Dentistry in 2007 as the Coordinator for the Center for Wound Healing and Tissue Regeneration. Her research interests include wound healing, tissue regeneration and angiogenesis. Since 2013, Dr. Cerny also serves as the Director of the Office for Faculty Affairs for the College of Dentistry. The Office of Faculty Affairs has the primary responsibility of supporting faculty through promotion and tenure process, providing governance for faculty affairs, providing resources for faculty development, and providing oversight for the annual faculty evaluation process. Dr. Cerny faculty development interests include mentorship and leadership training.
