About

Dr. Narvekar serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics. He completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2010 in Bombay, India. In 2011, he joined the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, in Philadelphia where he completed a 4- year residency in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis (dual certificate). Dr. Narvekar is the recipient of the American Academy of Periodontology Educator Award and the Osseointegration Foundation’s 2nd Applied Science Research Grant. Dr. Narvekar’s research interests include implant dentistry and dental education.

Research Currently in Progress

Dr. Narvekar’s research focuses on Implant dentistry including the re-use of dental implant healing abutments, regenerative periodontal therapy and dental education. He is the author of several peer reviewed publications and a book chapter and serves as a reviewer for several journals.
