College of Dentistry is working on a plan to reopen clinics in June

May 21, 2020:

Clinics at College of Dentistry were closed to routine patient care on March 18 at the direction of Governor of Illinois in response to COVID-19 disease outbreak and all patients’ appointments were cancelled (Dental Student, Resident or Faculty Dental Practice), through May 29. Emergency dental care was provided to patients during this time frame.

Now that the Illinois Governor’s shelter-in-place restriction is ending on May 31, the College is working on a plan to reopen the clinics in June (exact date is to be determined).

Patients of record will be appointed starting in June, and new patients will begin to be registered in July.

Dental providers will be reaching out to existing patients in approximately 2 to 3 weeks to schedule their next appointment.

In the meantime, if there is a dental emergency, patients should contact their existing dental provider or call at 312-996-8636 (Adult Urgent Care) for further instructions.
