College Helps 2016 Esperanza Health Fair to Be Huge Success
Students from UIC College of Dentistry, led by faculty Dr. Beth Miloro, Clinical Assistant Professor, Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences, and Dr. Adriana Semprum-Clavier, Director of the DMD Advanced Standing Program, participated at the Esperanza Health Center Extravaganza Health Fair on Aug 6, providing oral cancer screenings, oral health education, nutritional counseling, and more than 50 fluoride varnish applications on children and adults. Students and Dr. Miloro conducted 35 oral cancer screenings. The Health Fair was well attended by many residents from Little Village, Pilsen, and other surrounding communities. The College offers its thanks to all its great volunteers!
