About

Abigail Goben joined the University of Illinois-Chicago Health Sciences Library in December 2010. Her primary liaison responsibilities are to the College of Dentistry and the Institute for Juvenile Research. Goben earned her Masters in Library Science from St. John's University in Queens in 2005. Scholarly interests

My scholarly activity has focused on research data management education for subject and liaison librarians working directly with researchers as well as identifying the opportunities for librarians to influence institutional data policies to improve access, reproducibility, and ensure appropriate research support. My research has provided educational guidance for adoption of RDM services by librarians who are reskilling to meet these emerging requirements and identified specific policy targets at the institutional level to improve data use and preservation.
