About
Ms. Robin Waner serves as the Director of Clinics for the College of Dentistry. She is the first licensed dental hygienist hired in this role. Working under the Executive Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, her main responsibilities include assuring compliance to many of the established COD clinical protocols. She serves as chairperson of the Infection Control Committee, where she provides guidance to staff and students regarding adherence to federal, state and local rules to assure patient and provider safety. Having been involved with purchasing dental supplies and equipment for the undergraduate dental students for many years, Ms. Waner has cultivated professional relationships with many dental manufacturers and distributors. This has contributed to significant cost savings for the dental student program during times when annual state funding decreased to the whole College. Several times throughout the academic year, Ms. Waner coordinates organizational activities to conduct the dental licensing exam (CDCA) for third and fourth year dental students. Additionally, she is a dental hygiene examiner and CDCA consultant.
