About

Dr. Ejaz Tahir is an adjunct professor in the department of orthodontics at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry. He has practiced orthodontics since 1994 and brings more than three decades of real-world clinical experience to his teaching.

Dr. Tahir earned his DDS and Master of Science in Orthodontics at UIC, where he also completed his orthodontic residency. His teaching focuses on clinical problem solving, biomechanics and digital orthodontics. He has developed first-molar extraction protocols for treating Class II and Class III cases without surgery. He also emphasizes symmetry, vertical control, and correcting mandibular position to improve clinical results. Above all, he is committed to making learning fun and interactive for every resident.

Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Tahir enjoys reading, origami, and spending time with his family. His creativity and attention to detail in his personal interests align closely with the patience, precision, and artistry he brings to orthodontic care.
