Dr. Praveen Gajendrareddy is Associate Professor and Director of Postgraduate Periodontics at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is also a faculty of the Graduate College at UIC. He received his BDS from the Medical University in Chennai, India. He later received his PhD in Oral Biology at The Ohio State University, He completed his postdoctoral research training and his certificate in Periodontology at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Reddy joined the faculty at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2008, and has served there since. He was has also served as the clinic director for postgraduate Periodontics and Associate Director for Clinical Research. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he also plays an active role in the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. In addition to his academic commitments, he maintains an active, but limited, private practice.
Dr. Reddy’s research focuses on wound healing and tissue regeneration. He is the author of several peer reviewed publications and book chapters. He is a reviewer for several scientific journals and also serves as a site visitor for CODA.
