Room 331

Periodontics Department 801 S. Paulina St., IL 60612

Dr. Armita Hezarkhani was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and has lived in Toronto, Canada and the Northwest suburbs of Illinois. She attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, earning degrees in Neuroscience and Music. Armita traded in the snow for sun, attending the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona, receiving her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master’s in Public Health (MPH). It was there she was able to gain clinical exposure in periodontics, so she decided to return to the midwest and continue her studies here at UIC. Her research interests include e-cigarettes and public health within the periodontal field. Outside of dentistry, Armita enjoys eating her way through cities with family and friends, trying new workouts, and getting lost looking for coffee shops.
