About
Dr. Hacer Aksel was born and raised in Turkey. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marmara University in 2006. She completed an endodontic fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2015 and earned a combined PhD and specialty training in endodontics at Hacettepe University, Turkey, in 2016. Her research focused on vital pulp therapies and regenerative endodontics, and has been recognized by the American Association of Endodontics and published in top journals, including the Journal of Endodontics and the International Endodontic Journal.She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
In addition to Dr. Aksel’s extensive research, she served as a clinical instructor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for six years, where she mentored predoctoral students in evidence-based endodontic care. Dr. Aksel recently completed an endodontic residency at the University at Buffalo in 2024, further enhancing her expertise in the field.
