The Oral Medicine Clinic at University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry uses a multidisciplinary approach to expertly diagnose and treat oral pathology, TMJ and sleep disorders. Our team of experts have extensive professional expertise and experience in all aspects of oral medicine and clinical oral pathology.

Our approach
We use a multidisciplinary approach to expertly diagnose and treat oral mucosal diseases. The Oral Medicine team collaborates with all dental disciplines, including Periodontics, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery as well as a number of medical disciplines, including ENT, Dermatology, Oncology, Neurology, Hematology, Radiology, Surgery, and Psychiatry.
Consultations & Referrals
We accept referrals from providers inside and outside the College of Dentistry. Patients who either have a referral from an outside clinician, or have been screened in our clinics, may schedule an appointment by phone or email.

Department of Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences
The Department of Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences performs multiple functions within the College of Dentistry. Faculty in the department teach in the DMD program, the MS in Oral Sciences program, and other advanced training programs. There are active clinical and research programs closely linked to the oral cancer research initiatives in the Cancer Center, and studies in oral conditions in HIV.
