UIC College of Dentistry partners with Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil (UCSG) in Ecuador

From Feb. 23 to March 10, four students from the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil (UCSG) in Ecuador visited the UIC College of Dentistry for an enriching academic and cultural exchange experience.
During their time at UIC, the visiting students received a comprehensive overview of the college’s curriculum and were provided individualized itineraries tailored to their academic interests. They observed UIC students in both didactic courses and clinical settings, gaining firsthand insight into the structure of dental education at UIC.
In return, UIC students had the opportunity to learn from the UCSG visitors about Ecuador’s oral healthcare system and hear perspectives on the academic and clinical training offered at UCSG. This two-way exchange fostered dialogue on global approaches to dental education and patient care.
Now in its second year, the program continues to strengthen collaborative learning and build meaningful connections between the two universities, advancing shared goals in global oral health education.
