FOREFRONT research video series wins 2025 Telly Award

Introduction
FOREFRONT: Science Discoveries Advancing Health, the UIC College of Dentistry's pioneering video series, is the proud recipient of the 2025 Silver Telly Award in the "Online Series: Education & Discovery" category. This prestigious recognition celebrates the power of collaborative storytelling and impact of high-quality academic media.
The idea of the video series was developed by Dr. Ana Bedran-Russo, associate dean for research and head of oral biology, with a vision of enhancing the understanding and awareness of the groundbreaking research at the UIC College of Dentistry.
Through the creative and collaborative efforts between the UIC College of Dentistry marketing team, UIC Creative and Digital Services, and Multiple Inc, FOREFRONT has successfully achieved its goal, gaining notoriety by delivering compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
Each episode highlights one of our leading researchers and their cutting-edge work in areas such as immunology, artificial intelligence, wound healing, and biomaterials—demonstrating the real-world impact of science in advancing oral and overall health.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multi-screen industry The Telly Awards celebrates.
We are thrilled to be recognized among the best in educational media and proud to share the innovative research at the UIC College of Dentistry with a broader audience through FOREFRONT.
