Q: When can I apply to UIC? Heading link
UIC accepts applications for the DMD program from June to December 1.
Q: Can I update my DAT score after the deadline? Heading link
Yes, if you choose to re-take the DAT, your updated ADA official score will be reported electronically via AADSAS. This process may take 2-4 weeks. You can also update your AADSAS application indicating the date in which you are scheduled to re-take the DAT.
Q: Will I receive a DDS or DMD degree upon successful completion of the DMD program? Heading link
Upon the successful completion of the program you will be awarded a Doctor of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Q: Is financial aid available to help offset the cost of tuition for the DMD program? Heading link
Yes. Students enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Medicine program are eligible to receive federal financial aid.
Q: Can I apply directly to UIC without submitting an Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) application? Heading link
No, UIC requires that all students submit both an AADSAS and a UIC supplemental application.
Q: What are the UIC course requirements for the DMD program? Heading link
Q: Is a US Bachelor's degree required for this program? Heading link
Yes. All applicants should be working towards or have already earned a US bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Q: Do you accept unofficial DAT scores? Heading link
No, we do not accept unofficial DAT scores. Our office will wait to receive your score directly from the ADA in your AADSAS application.
Q: Do I have to email you to inform you if I am retaking the DAT? Heading link
No, you do not have to send us an email. You can submit the update directly to your AADSAS application.
Q: Am I required to be Covid vaccinated? Heading link
The University of Illinois no longer requires all students to be vaccinated for Covid. This is an option, but the College reminds students that they will be working with patients who may have a wide variety of health issues. Annual vaccines are highly recommended.
