The 97th General Session of the IADR, will be held in conjunction with the 48th Annual Meeting of the AADR and the 43rd Annual Meeting of the CADR, from June 19-22, 2019 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The UIC College of Dentisty will host a welcome reception Thursday, June 20 from 6:30-8:00 pm. Light Refreshments will be served.

Your orientation week is designed around you! It is the beginning of your UIC College of Dentistry journey. During the week, you will begin to unlock a network of resources that will help you start your University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry journey in the right direction. You will have the opportunity to learn strategies on adjusting to dental school successfully. The sessions will provide valuable information about our policies, programs and services we have in place to promote a healthy environment, supportive of student success. Additionally, during orientation you will learn tips from the upperclassmen who will serve as your guide during your time here.
The Student and Diversity Affairs team will be available ready to answer any questions you may have.
The White Coat Ceremony is an annual tradition marking the matriculating class of students entering the dental profession. It celebrates the choice to pursue a life in service to the health of society. During the Ceremony, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry deans and faculty members cloak students in their first white coat as a symbol of of the trust bestowed upon them to carry on the healing profession on dentistry.
These walking group tours of our dental school are a great way to learn more before application. You'll be led through a guided tour of the college by admissions and student representatives, with a group Q&A after the tour. You'll meet some of our current students, and see students in action performing clinical training simulations. You'll also learn about our post graduate specialty programs and research labs.
