Alpha Omega (AO)

To support Judaic values that promote health and healing, philanthropy, academic integrity and success.  Members are not required to be Jewish, but must adhere to bylaws of the organization and fulfill their expectations of academic success, social/charity/philanthropy and public health/promotions of healing.


American Association of Muslim Dental Students



American Association of Women Dentist (AAWD)

To have an organization that is closely affiliated with both the UIC College of Dentistry and the female community of organized dentistry at large, the national chapter of AAWD.  We allow students to be more involved and interact with dentists.


American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD)

Aim to function as a student organization that will promote the advancement of public health in the field of dentistry; to encourage participation, foster loyalty to the organization, provide learning through community services and volunteerism.


American Student Dental Association (ASDA)

National student run organization that protects and advocates the rights, interest, and welfare of dental students.  It introduces students to a lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provide services, information, education, representation and advocacy.


Chicago Dental Society (CDS)

Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA)

To motivate and equip Christian dentists to glorify God by living out the character of Christ in their homes, practices, communities around the world, pursuing professional competence and Christ-like compassion in their daily works.

Delta Sigma Delta (DSD)

An organization of dentists and dental students brought together with the common goal of promoting excellence in the dental profession.

Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA)

Provide a voice for Hispanic oral health students at the UIC College of Dentistry.  Promote the oral health of the Hispanic Community at the UIC and the City of Chicago through improved education, prevention and treatment.  Provide cultural and educational experiences for non-Hispanic students who wish to learn more about Hispanic/Latino cultures.

Health Professional Student Council

Group of student leaders from the UIC College of Dentistry.  The purpose of the student council is to meet on a regular basis to discuss news and events at the College of Dentistry.

Illinois Academy of General Dentistry (IAGD)

Organization dedicated to serving the needs and interests of general dentists.

Indian Student Dental Association (ISDA)

To promote strong, lifelong relationships, offer guidance and to foster a strong community network for Indian dentists and dental students.

Korean American Student Dental Association (KASDA)

To promote strong, life-long relationships amongst fellow members; to offer guidance to to KASDA members from dentists in its parents organization, Korean American Dental Association Chapter; and to foster strong community networks between Korean dentists and dental students.

Peer Mentoring Group


College of Dentistry Pride Alliance (CODPA)

To provide all COD students, staff workers, and faculty members with a safe space that affirms all gender expressions, identities, and sexualities.  Additionally the CODPA intends to serve the Lesbian Gay Trans Queers/Questioning Ally (LGBTQA) Chicagoland community through oral health orientated volunteerism.

Student National Dental Association (SNDA)

Primary goal of SNDA is to promote and encourage minority enrollment in dental schools and to practice commitment to the improvement in the quality of dental health of all people, with an emphasis on minorities and/or the underserved.

Student Research Group (SRG)

To promote student research in dentistry and its related disciplines.  To promote advancement of dental research and related aspects.




Organization Registration Process

For your organization to be officially recognized by UIC and the College of Dentistry, you must register your organization with Campus Programs. The organization then has one month to submit an Organization Registration Form (available in Room 104) and its constitution and bylaws to Millie Mendez. For more information, please review the Student Organization Handbook.
