College of Dentistry Graduation Celebration Thursday, May 2, 2024 Heading link

The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry Graduation Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10AM.

The commencement ceremony will be held at the UIC Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum located at 725 W. Roosevelt, Chicago, IL 60607. Doors will open at 9:00am for general open seating. The program will begin promptly at 10:00am. Please note, once the ceremony begins, the doors entering the Main Hall will be closed and entrance to the ceremony will be only at the upstairs Hall rear doors. The ceremony is expected to conclude by 12:00pm.

An Open House Reception with cake and coffee will follow immediately after the ceremony. The Ceremony duration is about two hours and will conclude by 3:00pm. The reception will be held on the 4th and 5th floors of the College of Dentistry, located at 801 S. Paulina St., Chicago, IL 60612.

Entry, Check In & Seating
Graduates, Family Hooders, Faculty, and Volunteer Staff should arrive by 8:45am. Doors will open to the General Public at 9:00am. No registration is required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. All guests will enter through main entrance and proceed through security and metal detectors. However, please note once the ceremony begins the doors entering the Main Hall will be closed and guests will be required to enter the ceremony upstairs through the rear doors of the Hall.

Metal Detectors, Prohibited Items, and Bag Polices
All guests seeking entry will proceed through the metal detectors and be required to remove phones, keys coins, wallets, etc., from their pockets. Strollers and balloons are not allowed. If you must carry a handbag, small handbags are strongly encouraged. Please refer to the UIC Forum bag policy as well.

Parking
Parking is available at UIC Lot #5C (1135 S. Morgan, 1 block west of the Forum) and Lot #6 (1135 S. Halsted). Should these lots fill to capacity, guests can also park in the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure (HLPS) on the corner of Taylor and Halsted. There will be other graduation events taking place on campus that day, so please allow ample time for heavy traffic and parking. Parking will be available at UIC Lots 5 (1135 S. Morgan St., 1 block West of Forum) and Lot 6 (1135 S. Halsted St., 1 block North of Forum). Please see picture below to view parking lot.

Smoking and Tobacco Usage
The University of Illinois Chicago is a smoke free and tobacco free campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. Smoking of any kind, including vaporizers, and the use of smokeless tobacco products are strictly prohibited inside the facility and on UIC property.
