Biographic Summary

Dr. Greene has been involved for many years in clinical research and teaching in the area of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. From 1965-1984 he worked with Dr. Daniel Laskin in the UIC TMJ and Facial Pain Research Center. His other academic interest is in hospital dentistry, and he spent 12 years directing GPR’s at Michael Reese and UIC Hospitals. He has published over 130 articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and recently he was co-editor of 2 multi-author books about temporomandibular disorders (Quintessence 2006 and 2013). In 2015 Dr. Greene was one of four co-editors on a book entitled “TMD and Orthodontics” published by Springer. Dr. Greene also serves as the Section Editor for the Pain Update section in the Journal of the American Dental Association. Dr. Greene has been appointed as Clinical Professor Emeritus of Orthodontics, approved by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees, since November 2018.
