IT TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE (Senior Axium Specialist)

The College of Dentistry Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago, located in a large metropolitan area, seeks applicants for the position of IT Technical Associate (Senior Axium Specialist). Duties include supporting production and non-production of Oracle Database instances for the electronic health record, axiUm application; supporting and maintaining ancillary clinical systems and suggesting technical system and process improvements by implementing Change Management and Project Management; providing reports to management; and providing software systems support.   Other duties include the training and supervision of an Axium Support Specialist and Database Software Specialist. 

Requirements include a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming/Applications, Computer Engineering or other related field required, and the following certification/specialty is required: SQL Fundamentals and Sun Certified Java Programmer and two years’ experience in Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle 11g, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and/or Oracle Management Server. Two years’ experience writing SQL queries, procedures, functions and triggers and two year’s supporting an Electronic Health Record such as Axium.  No travel is required.
