National Prosthodontics Awareness Week (NPAW) 2019

NPAW_2019-Logo.pngNational Prosthodontics Awareness Week (NPAW) is a great opportunity to connect with our community to bring attention to the specialty and to our school. Join us for a week-long series of events celebrating the specialty of prosthodontics, including Advanced Prosthodontics Research Day, Monday April 8th.

April 7-13, 2019 is National Prosthodontics Awareness Week, which celebrates and promotes the specialty of prosthodontics. As one of the nine American Dental Association recognized specialties, prosthodontists have 3-4 years of additional advanced education and training beyond dental school.  “They specialize in treating and handling dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures.  A prosthodontist has experience in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more.  While many other dentists can do some of these treatments, prosthodontists are the specialists dedicated to this type of care.  This rigorous education, training and experience gives the prosthodontist a special understanding of the dynamics of a smile and the preservation of a healthy mouth.”ACP Join us April 7 – 13, 2019, where you can learn more about prosthodontics from all perspectives: researcher, clinician and lab technician.  Take a look at all the events and opportunities we have planned for the NPAW week!  Your smile is our specialty!™
