Join the UIC College of Dentistry Urban Health Program (UHP) in our annual open house.
Prospective students will participate in pre-dental activities, a tour of the dental school, and a personal statement writing workshop. All activities will be led by the Student National Dental Association and the Hispanic Student Dental Association.
This event is designed for underrepresented minority pre-dental students interested in the DMD program.
Are you a dentist trained outside of the US? Check out our DMD-AS webinar specifically designed for foreign trained dentists.
About the Urban Health Program at UIC College of Dentistry
The mission of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Urban Health Program (UHP), is to recruit, retain and graduate African American/Black, Latinx, and American Indian pre-college, undergraduate pre-health, graduate and professional students with interest in the health sciences.
We are committed to providing avenues for early exposure to the dental professions for students from traditionally underrepresented groups; academic enrichment opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from underrepresented populations who are interested in or pursuing degrees in the Oral Health Sciences; and supporting and participating in community health initiatives and programs, particularly those that are concerned with addressing oral health disparities and community health.
