Free Oral Cancer Screenings (2019 Oral Cancer Awareness)

The UIC College of Dentistry is providing free oral cancer screenings Tuesday, April 17th, 9:30am-12:30pm in the Oral Surgery Clinic located on the first floor, room 110.  Those wishing to be screened should can stop by in anytime between 9:30am-12:30 pm.

 The screenings are held in conjunction with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week, sponsored nationally by Bristol-Myers Squibb, Lilly, and Merck.

Free oral cancer screenings hosted by UI Health in Chicago

Additionally,  University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System (UI Health) will host oral cancer screenings at Mile Square Health Centers.

  • Mile Square South Shore at 7037 S. Stony Island Ave. and will have screenings on Monday, April 8. Call (312) 355-5590.
  • Mile Square Humboldt Park at 3240 W. Division St. and will have screenings on Tuesday, April 9. Call (312) 413-7425.
  • Mile Square Main at 1220 S. Wood St. and will have screenings on Wednesday, April 10. Call (312) 996-2000.
  • Mile Square Back of the Yards at 4630 S. Bishop St. and will have screenings on Friday, April 12. Call (312) 996-2000.

The Oral Medicine clinic is staffed by faculty members who have extensive professional expertise and experience in all aspects of Oral Medicine and Clinical Oral Pathology. We are the only academic center of this kind in Chicago.

Our approach

The Oral Medicine team collaborates with all dental disciplines, including Periodontics, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery as well as a number of medical disciplines, including ENT, Dermatology, Oncology, Neurology, Hematology, Radiology, Surgery, and Psychiatry.
