The Opioid Epidemic is a focus for all healthcare professionals; training personnel to reduce opioid substance use is a national priority. With the support of the Health Resources and Services Administration, the Pediatric Dentistry Department at UIC COD is proud to present this 4 hour CE program. We engage a Pediatric Dentist, a Dental Pain Specialist, a Psychiatrist and a Pharmacist to share their expertise and latest strategies on educating dental professionals to address issues of opioid abuse in pain management and identify and refer individuals with substance use disorders.
Our speakers will present current thinking on opioid topics that dental professionals will find practical and useful in clinical practice.
