College Quintuples #GivingTuesday Donations

College Quintuples #GivingTuesday Donations

In November, #GivingTuesday closed at UIC with $140,012 in giving from 830 donors. The College of Dentistry was a key contributor to the campaign’s success, quintupling its giving numbers from last year as the College raised $24,190 from 54 donors—18% of the overall campus total of dollars raised, and the leading dollar total on campus.

This year, #GivingTuesday featured several “challenges” at the College. In the Department Challenge, the highest percentages of people in each department who donated were, in order, Administration, Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences, Periodontics, Endodontics, Oral Biology, Restorative Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In the College Challenge, the highest percentages of people in each category who donated were, in order, staff, faculty, and students.

“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the IGNITE Campaign through this year’s #IGNITEGivingTuesday,” said Dean Clark Stanford.
