A group of UIC College of Dentistry students and faculty, as part of the UIC ASDA chapter recently brought smiles to A Safe Haven, a Chicago area homeless shelter. The group provided dental screenings and fluoride varnishes for the children, as well as had some fun providing "entertainment" and games with the participants. Dr. Sahar Alrayyes, Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry was on hand to supervise.
