Individualized continuing education programs in orthodontics are available for those clinicians who have a serious interest in developing additional knowledge and skills in this field. The duration of the programs is flexible and determined upon reviewing the applicant's background and objectives.
Four-Week Special Orthodontic Program
With the rapid accumulation of orthodontic knowledge in recent years, there is increased worldwide interest in a concise yet comprehensive course that encompasses recent advances in orthodontics. The Department of Orthodontics at the UIC College of Dentistry is offering a continuing education course of four weeks duration, starting on the first Monday of October, April, and July. One-Year Special Orthodontic Program
The One-year Special Orthdontic Program is designed primarily to provide foreign-trained orthodontists with contemporary orthodontic knowledge and technique so that they will return after training to provide impetus for the further advancement of the orthodontic specialty in their home countries. The program will be individually tailored to provide the foreign-trained orthodontists with advanced knowledge in orthodontics. Foundation for Modern BIOprogressive Orthodontics Program at UIC
Note: The Immersion in BIOprogressive: A Two-Module Program is a continuing education recognition program certified by the American Dental Association (ADA). Participants to this program will received ADA continuing education credits from the Foundation, not from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
