The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Scott Tomar as Associate Dean for Prevention and Public Health Sciences as of April 20, 2020.
The College of Dentistry has decided to reopen clinics in June. As communicated earlier, student clinics will not be registering new patients until July 2020.
Now that the Illinois Governor’s shelter-in-place restriction is ending on May 31, the College of Dentistry is working on a plan to reopen the clinics in June (exact date is to be determined).
Dr. Elnagar was invited as a key note speaker during the UIC College of Dentistry 33rd Clinic & Research Day. He presented AI application in orthodontics Diagnosis, Prediction of treatment outcome, Medical Image Analysis, and Treatment monitoring.

It is no surprise that Dr. Mulokozi Lugakingira, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and MS Oral Sciences ’11, started a not-for-profit to advance education and healthcare in Katare Village, Tanzania.
Congratulations to Dr. Anne George, the Dr. Allan G. Brodie Endowed Professor, Professor of Oral Biology, and UIC University Scholar, who has received the 2020 International Association of Dental Research (IADR) Distinguished Scientist Award for Basic Research in Biological Mineralization.
