  • Continuing Education on 3-D Imaging Subject of Seminar at UIC College of Dentistry

  • “3-D Imaging: Enhancing the diagnostic accuracy of your practice with CBCT” (cone beam computed tomography) will be a Continuing Education presentation at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. It will be held at the College, 801 S. Paulina St., Chicago, IL, 60612, Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7:45 a.m. to noon. There is no charge for registration.
  • This half-day seminar will offer information about the diagnostic capabilities provided by 3-D imaging and its successful implementation into dental practice. Vital information will be provided by speakers and supported by Imaging Sciences International, Gendex Dental Systems and Henry Schein Dental through the 3D Imaging Institute on GXCB-500 and i-CAT CBCT technology.
  • Participants will become familiar with 3-D applications for general and specialty dental practices; learn about access to a wide range of clinical information; become educated on the many ways to evaluate implant cases using CBCT technology; and understand the impact 3-D scanning will have on the patient’s decision for treatment.
  • Speakers will be Dr. Alan Dalessandro, an expert in the use of CBCT regarding diagnosis, pathology, and implant placement, and Dr. Richard Monahan, Head, Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences, UIC College of Dentistry, an expert on all aspects of maxillofacial imaging.
  • The day will provide four hours of Continuing Education credit.
