  • CE on Implant Supported Care Subject of Weclew Lecture at UIC College of Dentistry
  • “Implant Supported Care for Your Patients: Advancing the Standard” will be a Continuing Education presentation of the Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Lecture Series by the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. It will be held at the College, 801 S. Paulina St., Chicago, IL, 60612, Wednesday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Course instructors will be Dr. Stephen Campbell, Professor and Head, Department of Restorative Dentistry, and Director, Comprehensive Dental Implant Center; and Dr. Kent L. Knoernschild, Associate Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, Director, Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics, and Co-Director, Comprehensive Dental Implant Center.
  • Courses within the all-day Weclew Lecture will be “Dental Implant Therapy for Your Practice: Critical Considerations in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning” and “The Secrets of Dental Implant Therapy and Esthetics,” both by Dr. Campbell; and “Predictable Solutions Using Dental Implants” and “Three-Dimensional Digital Planning for Surgical and Prosthetic Therapy,” both by Dr. Knoernschild. In addition, participants are invited to bring radiographs and casts for a patient they would like to discuss in an open session run by Drs. Campbell and Knoernschild.
  • The day will provide six hours of Continuing Education credit and cost $245; a 20% discount is available for members of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.   • The lecture is named for Dr. Weclew, one of the founders of the Academy of General Dentistry and of the Academy of Continuing Education, and a faculty member at the UIC College of Dentistry for 32 years.
