- The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers training in the surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, and deformities of the teeth, jaws, and associated structures. The department also offers basic and advanced training in pain control (local and general anesthesia and sedation). Programs are offered at the predoctoral, postdoctoral, graduate, and continuing education levels. The department maintains an active clinical and basic research program, which is open to students at all levels. The department sponsors the Tempromandibular Joint and Facial Pain Center.
