
Dr. Michael Yuen
Dr. Michael Yuen was born at Williams Air Force Base and lived in many varied locations due to his father’s military assignments. Dr. Yuen attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002. In 2006, Dr. Yuen graduated from the UIC College of Dentistry with his DDS. Upon graduation, Dr. Yuen was awarded the Ted Rosen Memorial Award. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Yuen was in a general dentistry private practice. Dr. Yuen’s areas of research interest are new irrigation solutions and new file systems. Michael is married to Dr. Rosemarie Tan (DDS UIC ’06), who is currently a prosthodontic resident at UIC. In his spare time his interests include vinyl records played on turntables, paintball, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs. Dr. Yuen plans to become board-certified in Endodontics and go into private practice upon completion of the program, and also plans to teach part-time.
