Dr. Jonathan Wong
Dr. Jonathan Wong comes from Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and attended both the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (earning a Master of Science in Biological Sciences-Genetics in 2005). In 2008, Dr. Wong graduated from the UIC College of Dentistry with his DDS. Dr. Wong was awarded the Dr. Harry Saxon Scholarship Award upon graduation from the UIC College of Dentistry. Dr. Wong's research interests include the efficacy of various root filling materials and techniques; the efficacy of intracanal medicaments; and one- versus two-visit endodontic therapy on necrotic teeth. Jonathan has one son, Jayden, who was born on Jan. 15, 2008. Among Jonathan's many outside interests are weightlifting, basketball, beach volleyball, running, bicycling, spending time with his family, and anything involving physical activity. Dr. Wong plans to go into private practice upon completion of the program and also plans to teach part-time later in his career, with full-time academia as a long-term goal.
