Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Dental Surgery [DDS] program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Each year the College of Dentistry accepts 66 DDS candidates into the program. The UIC College of Dentistry confers over one-half of the dental degrees awarded by Illinois schools. A primary mission of the College is preparing highly qualified individuals for careers as general and dental specialty practitioners for the State of Illinois.

The application cycle for admission to the D-1 class begins on June 1. The deadline for submitting your application materials is December 1. A rolling admissions process is used, with preference given to earlier applications. Since the college has a limited capacity, it must be selective in choosing students.

The admissions committee starts the review process as soon as applications begin to arrive in June. Highly qualified candidates will be invited for an interview in the months of October – March. Interviews are mandatory and by invitation only.
