The Association of Muslim Dental Students will be hosting a pre-Ramadan preparation program next week on Tuesday, June 25th from 5:00-6:30pm in room 330D with guest speaker Saad Quadri. The program will focus on what the month of Ramadan entails, how students observing fasting in this month can optimize its benefits, and tips for how students can balance between religious demands during the month and school work. Light refreshments will be served.
Speaker bio: Sa'ad Quadri is an English teacher at the Islamic Foundation School. He completed his Bachelor's degree in English and History at Northern Illinois University and is pursuing his Master's degree in Education at DePaul University. Sa'ad has pursued studies in the Islamic sciences at the Institute of Islamic Education and is currently continuing his studies in the Sacred Learning Individual Study Program. Sa'ad also works for High Quality Education Consulting (HQEC), with whom he has co-authored "The War Within Our Hearts: Struggles of the Muslim Youth" and "Parenting: Who Said it Was Easy? Understanding Our Children."
