COD student placed first in national DENTSPLY competition

Ms. Amatul Salma recently placed first in the basic science category for the the American Association for Dental Research’s (AADR) DENTSPLY/CAULK Competition. Her prize winning project is titled, “Nijmegen breakage syndrome 1 (NBS1) deficiency mediates resistance to combined telomerase and PARP inhibitor therapy in oral cancer.” The award was received at AADRs 2014 national conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Salma is currently a D2 mentored by Dr. Crowe in the department of Periodontics.
