The College of Dentistry’s 27th annual Clinic and Research Day was a terrific success. This yearly opportunity for students and postgrads to present their research to peers, faculty, alumni and Chicago’s larger research community, brings to life what students are learning in the classrooms and is an excellent opportunity for students to polish their public speaking and professional writing skills.
The winning entry in this years CaseCAT presentations, was Carolyn Cronin poster on “Acupuncture as a Treatment Modality for Chronic Myofascial Pain. Ms. Cronin is mentored by Dr. Obrez and represented the COD’s Rembrandt Clinic.
Additional participants included: 12 predoctoral dental students, 40 graduate students, 15 postdoctoral fellows/junior faculty, 10 postgraduate residents, 9 research associates, 11 undergraduates, 11 case reports, 11 literature reviews, and 8 CaseCAT presentations.
