Student wins 2014 CCTS Multidisciplinary Team Science Award

The College of Dentistry’s 2014 Center for Clinical and Translational Science Multidisciplinary Team Science Award recipient is Micheal Boyle. A graduate student in the Department of Bioengineering, Boyle's award winning project examines "Inflammation-mediated Angiocrine Effect of Endothelial Cells Impede Dental-Pulp Tissue Regeneration." Boyle is mentored by endodontics assistant professor Dr. Satish Alapati and worked with Dr. Alapati on the recently awarded Association of Endodontists grant studying “Hypoxia-mediated discordant simulation of endothelium perturbs dental pulp stem cell differentiation, via Notch signaling.”
