The 2013 White Coat Ceremony will take place Friday, August 23rd. The ceremony begins at 5 pm in the Student Center West, in the Chicago Rooms A, B, & C. Parking will be available in the Paulina Street Parking Structure which is accessible from both Paulina Street and Marshfield Avenue. The Student Center West, 828 South Wolcott Avenue, is located just a short walk from the parking structure. Take Polk Street west until the Wolcott Avenue and Polk Street intersection is reached and the Student Center West is located. Please register for this event online.
The white coat is the garment traditionally worn by health care providers. This white coat ceremony symbolizes your entry into the healing profession of dentistry, as a new Doctor of Dental Medicine student. It celebrates your choice to pursue a life in service to the health of society. The College’s professional community welcomes you to your new life as a student dentist. We pledge to do all that we can do to help you become the finest dentist that you can be.

After the White Coat Ceremony please continue the celebration with the College of Dentistry. We will be hosting a reception with hors d’oeuvres, beverages, live music and an opportunity to tour the College of Dentistry with your guests. The College of Dentistry is located on 801 South Paulina Street. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony and will end at 8 pm. Don't forget to register for this event online.
